Turfrey Central Heating
Modern central heating systems are economical, reliable and efficient, providing silent, uniform radiant heat throughout the home. With a gentle heat that doesn’t feel hot or cold, central heating is perfectly comfortable year-round, regardless of the temperature outside. Efficient gas, diesel, electric or air to water heat pump central heating systems will quickly recover higher up front costs compared to quick-fix spot heating solutions.
Turfrey supply and install a wide range of underfloor and radiator central heating systems across the Hawkes Bay and Manawatu regions (with commercial installation offered in the Waikato and Wellington regions), and have qualified in-house installers to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective solution for your home.
Why Choose Central Heating
Typically, New Zealand homes are heated unevenly and unhealthily. The air temperature in bedrooms often falls below 16°C, while living areas are commonly over-heated—sometimes to as high as 30°C. The World Health Organisation recommends 21°C for a healthy living environment, a standard which is only achievable throughout your home with central heating.
24hrs, 7days a week automated temperature control keeps your home warm and comfortable when it is intended. The home owner has the ability to program any desired temperature for different times of the day, 7 days a week.
How does central heating work?
The heat source whether it be a boiler (1) or a heat pump, heats water and silently pumps it around the heating circuit. Either radiators (2) and maybe towel rails (3) or an underfloor (4) circuit radiates and convects warmth into the living spaces. A 7 day programmable room thermostat (5) fully automates the system according to your individual preferences.
In some central heating systems it is possible to load share the heat source and connect it to a hot water cylinder (6) for the production of domestic hot water. Solar panels (7) can also be integrated into the system to supplement domestic hot water production and reduce running costs.
